International Be a Pain in the Butt Day

I’m declaring today “International Be a Pain in the Butt Day” or IBAPITBD for short.

Here’s what I’ve done so far:

1.) Got the human woman up at 5am for our breakfast as usual, but then let her sleep in until 8:30am, just to throw her off.

2.) Dug a GENORMOUS hole near the fence, which is not allowed in the yard, and forced the human woman to come out, chase us away, go get a hoe, chase us away from the hole again, scrape the dirt back into the hole (and there’s never enough dirt left to fill the hole), then return the hoe, and chase us away from the freshly covered hole.

3.) Wouldn’t come inside, so she was forced to herd me inside, and that’s when I turned all fluffy and playful and attacked her, which I’m not allowed to do unless she is wearing the “play coat” to keep me from damaging her human skin. This meant that she had to go in and get the “play coat” and then I wasn’t in the mood to play anymore.

4.) Came inside, drank some water, and then splashed it all over the kitchen where Sam and his muddy paws tracked up the entire house.

5.) Woo’d, clawed, pranced, woo’d, and clawed until the human woman asked if I needed to go out, pranced toward the door and at the last minute, veered away and ran into my crate.

6.) Woo’d, clawed, clawed, and pranced until she got up again, then ran into the bedroom.

7.) Lay under the table and constantly clawed her legs.

8.) Woo’d, pranced, clawed, and jumped on the couch and looked very cute and fluffy until she got the comb out, then ran down the hall and hid under a table.

9.) Woo’d, pranced, clawed, and chewed on her arm until she got up, then ran under the table again.

She is ready to strangle me at this point, but I’m cute and fluffy and playful.

I'll give her a half hour of peace, then go at it again.

So everydog, do what you can to drive your humans insane today!

  1. Hahaha, you played the Ultimate Husky secret trick on the gullible woman. Of course there is never enough dirt to fill the hole back in. This is HuskyWorld, and conservation of anything, especially of mass, does not apply. Dumb woman should go back to school and learn HuskyPhysics 101.

  2. Meeshka,

Your day sounds like our Dachshund Patience Test that we wrote about. But then we found out that all dogs test patience so we have to come up with a new name for the test. We are sure your fluffiness works wonders on your human woman.

  3. Da momma is really mad at ShoneeWitch. Shonee chewed one of Da momma's boots today, and ruffled the bed covers, and turned on the wondow air conditioner in the bedroom, and escaped from the pen and didn't tell Da momma how she did it. Da momma is MAD and turned on the zappy wire on all our pens. That makes Doodles sad. I hope Da momma being mad at ShoneeWitch doesn't affect my birfdays celebrations!!!

  4. I have to laugh! I've been feeling a speck under the weather, so I had to turn IBAPITBD duties over to Bandit. He doesn't woo all that well, but ever since The Mom trimmed his girly nails, he's been clawing every human who even gets close to him. The Mom hasn't caught me yet to do my nails. She won't either!

  6. WOOO-HOOO! Sherman ran right up to mom and gave her a big kiss first thing this morning...and she noticed how pink his face was...and THEN discovered the lovely remains of our fresh rabbit meal, neatly stashed in our sleepy house. They found that to be a big pain in the butt to deal with. just to add spice, we also left a fresh dead mouse nearby too. Mom was not happy about the kisses anymore. Does this count?

  7. I have to hand it to you Meeshka. You have a lot of influence over the husky population. I was posting my blog tonight and happened to check yours out and realized the reason my huskies have been in and out of the house for the last 6 hours. Although it was a bit annoying having to constantly get up to let them in and out all night (and taking over 2 hours to post my blog because of it), I found it kind of funny that my huskies are being so sneaky and reading your blog to finding fun activities for the whole family to participate in! :-)

  9. We didn't get to get on the puter till Thursday but it was on Saturday that we destroyed their last roll of toilet paper & "surfed" the pack of crackers. Hope that will count!
