Blogathon Update: Patience, Its coming

I know a lot of you are chomping on the bit to get started sponsoring me for blogathon, and for that, both the rescue (Harnessed to Hope Northern Breed Rescue) and I are incredibly grateful.

We’re still waiting for the blogathon organizers to open up their site for registration. Once the site is open, I’ll be one of the first to register, and will pass on the instructions to everyone. It was suppose to start up on 1 July, but apparently they’re doing more work on the site to iron out some bugs. As the blogging doesn’t start until 9am Eastern Time on 28 July, you’ll have plenty of time to sign up for sponsorship.

All sponsors will be eligible to win prizes during the contests that will be held all night during blogathon, and for the drawing after the blogathon for very VERY special prizes.

When sponsorship opens up, we’ll be posting out information to several sites, and on the blogs and HTHNBR’s Web site with more details.

While I’m doing a gratuitous plug for HTH, let me tell you about some other cool things that will be going on in the next few months:

MEET AN IDITAROD MUSHER!!!
Yes, that’s right, if you are in the Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania area on 5 August 2007, you can meet Iditarod musher Karen Ramstead! Karen has just signed up to run in the 2008 Iditarod and will be taking some time out of her practice schedule to come to Penn’s Peak in Jim Thorpe, PA to do a meet, greet, and talk about her experiences as an Iditarod musher.

To buy tickets online, and find out more information, go to the HTH web site

By the way, I’d like to set the record straight and say that even though the human woman gets credit for doing Karen’s cartoons for her diary entries... I really do them.

Hike-n-Howl - Teaming Up on the Trail
Mark your calendars for oodles of fun on 1 September 2007 at Norristown Farm Park In Pennsylvania! Delaware Valley Siberian Husky Rescue, MaPaw Siberian Husky Rescue and Referral, and Harnessed to Hope Northern Breed Rescue is teaming up to help northern breeds in need with our first annual Hike-n-Howl!

The Web site will be up soon, but come on out with your Northern Breeds and hike to help three wonderful rescues save more northern breed pups and find them loving homes. We’ll have fun, food, exercise, games, contests, prizes, vendors and the works out there.

Keep checking the sites for more information!

  2. I sure wish I lived close enough to go to the Hike-n-Howl! My human was a remote hiker last year at the HTH hike. So I'm sure she will sign up this year too.

I can't wait for blogathon! It was so much fun last year, I'm sure it will be this year too!
