HULA Lesson #156: Keep them up

In general, a tired human is a careless human. No amount of that coffee stuff can keep them on their toes if their sleep is constantly interrupted. Lucky for us, we don't have jobs and can nap freely, while the humans have only a small window of sleep availability.

By depriving them of sleep, there is a better chance they'll leave something tasty within reach, or forget that they fed us and feed us again, or actually fall asleep and allow us to do whatever we want.

Its best to actually allow them to doze off before interrupting their sleep, then waiting for them to doze again before waking them. Not only do they get very cranky, but chances are they'll do something stupid, like lock you out of the bedroom, and allowing you free reign of the house to do whatever you want.

  1. I am really enjoying these HULA lessons. I have my notebook out and I am taking notes so I can start being more husky-like.

  2. This is a very good lesson, we've been practicing this one forever, but it doesn't work so good here, mama's an insomniac & has trained herself to function on 4-5 hours sleep a night out of necessity. Although...the wait for doze state & wake up, wait for doze state & wake up routine does eventually make her a little goofy.

  3. Wow, those lessons sure are amazing and I'll bet that you get so much to eat with these techniques. We are studying the rules closely and using the diagrams for examples. Oh, great Professor Meeshka

  5. Thanks for the reminders so we can brush up on our HULA skills...usually we like our beauty sleep and don't get up until mom or dad does....but there is the occasional 3:30AM potty break....

  7. Oh these Hula lessons are great! I've been taking notes too.

I have learned that when the big cold box in the kitchen is open I can stick my head in too and the bowl of carrots is right within reach. But not quite close enough. I gotta work on that.
