Unfortunately We Have a "Winner"

I'm sad to report that Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter, has passed away.

In what authorities are calling a freak accident, he was filming stingrays for a documentary, and was speared in the heart by one, killing him instantly.

While pretty much known in the US for his "CRIKEY", and wrestling of alligators, he was also the director of the Australian Zoo in Queensland, and he and his wife Terri were really big conservationists. Terri is from Oregon (Uncle Jack is from Oregon).

At least he died doing what he loved to do.

My condolences go out to Opy and Chuck-z in the loss of their fellow Oz-ian.

Meeshka
(sorry, its the curse of Uncle Jack)

Who'd ever thought??? Doodles and his whole family was sorry to hear the news. Croc Hunter has always been one of the favorite talking box shows in this house and Doodles never failed to jump when Steve yelled "Crikey"! Doodles and his family will surely miss the Croc Hunter.

Crikey!

And we were so hoped it would be Fidel.
My human is very sad over this tragic incident. She loves reptiles almost as much as huskies (although their scales simply can't compete with husky fluffiness when it comes to hugs). RIP Steve :(

Hi, Meeshka!

I have a great idea. Why don't you and your humans go to your Uncle Jack's house? That will reverse the bad old curse! (Well, just a thought).

Anyway... We miss you, Steve! Rest in peace!

Hi Meesh,

Sorry I have been around for a while.
Thanks for the condolences. We are all a bit upset here. Steve was a fav in our house, and it wont be the same without him.

Luv Chuck
